3A:3A is about communicating with the students because they should receive clear directions and explanations. Teachers need to make sure that their expectations for learning are clear. This way the purpose and activity is clear, they connect their prior knowledge, and students should understand what they are learning. The Directions and Procedures need to be clear for the students and this is to avoid misunderstandings. For example, you can give students a rubric as well as explaining it to them. The explanations and content must be clear and engaging and this is so students can understand what is going on and make connections. Lastly, teachers must be take advantage of using both oral or written language so students both hear and see what is going on. An example of 3A is an assignment that demonstrates clear directions for the students or even a rubric.

Lastly, student participation is key meaning that the students should be engaged, their opinion and voices should be heard, and student participation should be evenly spread. This is so teachers can see what their students have learned, give students feedback to help them improve, and monitor their progress. There must be clear assessment criteria, in other words the students should know what is expected of them, and help the students monitor their learning. Secondly teachers must have good monitoring of student learning meaning that they must be able to provide evidence of the students' understanding, use different techniques to assess them, and be able to monitor the class and individual student at the same time. Third teachers need to be able to provide good feedback to their students meaning that it should have positive comments showing where they can improve, give meaningful feedback, and it must be given in a timely manner. Last of all, there should be student self-assessment and monitoring of progress this way the students are actively engaged, and they can assess their quality in their work and how they can improve. An example of 3D is creating a pre-test and post test.

Secondly there must be a positive response to our students, meaning take advantage of the teachable moments to enrich and enhance the learning environment. Lastly the teacher must have good persistence or in other words not giving up during parts of lessons or digging deep to help find tools to help teach the students using different strategies and techniques. For example having student homework contracts signed by teacher, student, and parent.
